Comenzamos otra semana más con un phrasal verb. Hoy es turno para “Blurt Out” que en español significa decir algo rápido sin pensar, normalmente para fastidiar el momento, o para quedar mal ante alguien, o por decir algo que no viene a cuento, o para decir algo que no tendrías que haber dicho, como un secreto. Como véis, tiene varias interpretaciones.
Pero como siempre, veamos unos ejemplos:
- I was really angry when she blurted out the secret.
- He blurted out the hiding place of the spy.
- You blurt out whatever you want and when people do the same, you take offense.
