Aunque anteriormente hemos visto por encima algunas collocations del verbo save (junto a las de catch), en esta ocasión vamos a ahondar un poco más en el uso de este verbo que tanto tiempo nos puede salvar (badam tss).
Comencemos:
- Save electricity – Ahorrar electricidad
Ejemplo: Turn off the lights please, so we can save electricity.
- Save energy – Ahorrar energía
Ejemplo: What is the best way to save energy?
- Save money – Ahorrar dinero
Ejemplo: I need to save money to travel more.
- Save one’s strength – Ahorrar energías
Ejemplo: Take care and save your strength because tomorrow we need to run the marathon.
- Save someone a seat – Guardar un asiento a alguien
Ejemplo: Can you save me a seat on the bus?
- Save someone’s life – Salvar la vida a alguien
Ejemplo: Wearing a helmet in a bike can you save your life.
- Save something – Guardar algo
Ejemplo: It is a tradition to save something from your grandparents.
- Save space – Ahorrar espacio
Ejemplo: She saved some space changing the bed.
- Save time – Ahorrar tiempo
Ejemplo: If we go by bus we will save some time.
- Save yourself the trouble – Ahorrarte el problema, ahorrarte la molestia
Ejemplo: You should say nothing and save yourself the trouble.
- Save lives – Salvar vidas
Ejemplo: The lifeguard saved a few lives yesterday.
- Save file – Guardar archivo
Ejemplo: You can save the file as a .pdf format.
