Después de unos días de descanso, volvemos con los Phrasal verbs. Espero poder compaginarlo con otras noticias de diferente tipo, que sino se hace algo monótono. Hoy es turno para los phrasal verbs del verbo Get, uno de los verbos con más significados, y dificiles a la hora de usar:
Get along
Significado: Llevarse bien con alguien. Es un phrasal verb inseparable.
Ejemplos:
- I get along with them.
- They don´t get along.
- I don´t get along with my parents.
- I hope you get along with her.
Get Away
Significado: Alejarse, escapar de algo o alguien. Es un phrasal verb separable.
Ejemplos:
- Get away from her!
- Get that dog away from my sight.
- Why don´t we get away?
- I have to get away with her for a few months.
Get Back
Significado: Volver o regresar de un lugar en el que se estuvo antes. Es un phrasal verb separable.
Ejemplos:
- Get back here.
- She usually gets back from work late.
- I´m going to get it back, whatever it takes.
- Getting back to what I was saying.
Get By
Significado: Apañárselas. Es un phrasal verb inseparable.
Ejemplos:
- I get by at work.
- How will you get by?
- We´ll have to get by with what we have.
- What if we get by wihout them?
Get In/into
Significado: Entrar en un lugar o sitio. Es un phrasal verb separable.
Ejemplos:
- Get in the car.
- The cold air is getting in.
- Will you getting in on time?
- She´s going to get in bed now.
Get Out
Significado: Salir de un sitio o lugar. Es un phrasal verb separable.
Ejemplos:
- Get out of here.
- Get me out of this car.
- The story got out.
- The thief doesn´t want to get out of the bank.
Get On
Significado: Montarse o subirse en algo. Es un phrasal verb separable.
Ejemplos:
- I don´t want to get on.
- Help me get on.
- Are you going to get on with it?
- It´s easy to get on a plane.
Get Off
Significado: Bajarse de algo. Esn un phrasal verb separable.
Ejemplos:
- Get off the bicycle.
- Could you help me get off from here?
- Don´t get off yet.
- I got off the ladder.
Get through
Significado 1: Acabar con algo lo antes posible. Necesita llevar el artículo with después del phrasal verb. Es un phrsal verb separable.
Significado 2: Hacer que una persona entienda algo. Necesita llevar el artículo to después del phrasal verb. Es un phrasal verb separable.
Ejemplos:
- Get through with it.
- It was a difficult work, but we got through it.
- Am I getting through to you?
- We got through them without any problem.
Get Over
Significado 1: Recuperarse de una enfermedad. Es un phrasal verb inseparable.
Significado 2: Recuperarse de una mala experiencia. Es un phrasal verb inseparable.
Ejemplos:
- You can get over it.
- She got over the loss.
- It´s not going to be easy to ger over.
- He may never get over it.
Get Up
Significado: Levantarse. Es un phrasal verb separable.
Ejemplos:
- Get up from the floor.
- She´s lazy, she never gets up early.
- Did you get up in time?
- We won´t be able to get him up tomorrow.
