El idiom que vamos a ver es “Raise the bar” que traducido al español sería algo como incrementar las expectativas, dejar algo hecho para que al hacerlo de nuevo la dificultad se incremente, o incrementar la dificultad o el nivel.
Pero como siempre, lo mejor es verlo con ejemplos:
– Just as I was getting accustomed to my job, the manager raised the bar and I had to perform even better.
– With her entry into the painting contest, she raised the bar for the rest of participants.
– Reforms in each state raise the bar for the others.
– We raise the bar of expectation high enough so that future generations will not hold us to account for ignoring their future.
– We are working together to raise the bar on delivering innovative software solutions that can change the way people work and live.
