Dominando Neither y Nor
Example 1: Neither parent came to meet the teacher.
Example 2: Neither skirt fitted her.
Uso de «Neither of»
Utilizamos neither of delante de pronombres y sustantivos contables plurales que tienen un determinante (my, his, the) delante:
- Neither of us went to the meeting.
- Neither of the Christmas cards was suitable.
Neither Jamie nor his wife mentioned anything about moving house.
Neither Italy nor Spain got to the final last year.
ESTRUCTURA CORRECTA:
He hadn’t done any work, neither had he brought any of his textbooks.
We didn’t get to see the cave, nor did we see the monument.
Respuestas Cortas: «Neither do I» vs «Me neither»
Ámbito Formal
Auxiliar / Modal + Sujeto
B: Neither can I.
Ámbito Coloquial
Uso de «Me neither»
B: Me neither.
Not … either vs Neither
| Con EITHER (Not… either) | Con NEITHER / NOR |
|---|---|
| I haven’t either. | Neither have I. / Nor have I. |
| I didn’t either. | Neither did I. / Nor did I. |
